UV Resistant Plastic Sheets 

UV exposure is damaging to some plastics. This means that not all thermoplastic sheeting is suitable to be used outdoors, as they can change in appearance, warp, change colour or cracks may appear.

It is thus very important to choose the plastic sheeting you are using for an outdoor application very carefully, and to think about other environmental factors it may come into contact with such as water, chemicals, high temperatures and so on.

The most common thermoplastic sheets can be modified using UV stabilisers, and are usually described as ‘UV Resistant’ or ‘UV Stabilised’ sheets.
