When I put products in my basket, is that stock reserved for me?
No, as with other eCommerce sites, the stock is only allocated once the checkout process is complete.
What happens if the sheet I receive isn’t what I ordered?
Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with the details of your order –
you will need your order number – we can then check what was ordered and what has been dispatched.
We can then from there discuss if you require a credit or a replacement sheet.
The sheet has been damaged in transit – what do I do?
Please contact Plastic-Sheets with your order number. If possible take pictures
of the damage.
How will I know if my order has been accepted?
We will send an email confirming the details of your order to you – if you do not
receive this email please ring us on 01254 775238.
How do I progress my order and view previous orders?
You can view your account status via our website. You can also contact us via
e-mail or phone.
Can I amend my order once its submitted?
Yes, but you will need to act quickly, orders are normally dispatched within
48 hours. Contact us to do this.
Packaging & Delivery
How long would it take to receive my order?
Suppliers have agreed to distribute your goods within 3 working days of receiving your order. Then its your choice which delivery method you choose. If you require your product quickly please discuss this with the supplier using the ‘Ask a Question’ section underneath the product description.
How will my order be packaged / delivered?
Your order will be packaged in line with our guidelines to prevent damage in transit, and delivered by our nominated national carrier service. We would not normally expect this to exceed 5 working days and certainly within 19 days.
Deliveries will usually be made between 8.30am & 5.30pm. If you have been waiting for longer than 5 working days for your order to be delivered, please contact us.
Can my order be delivered to a different address to my payment address?
Yes, the order will be delivered to the address you advise when ordering.
I am outside of the UK, can I still buy through Plastic-Sheets?
Yes, when you complete the checkout function, our site will recognise that you do not have a UK postcode. The transaction will automatically pause to allow us to remove UK taxes and to advise you of shipping costs to your location. Please not that you are liable for any local taxes or duties that may be payable outside of UK jurisdiction.
Which dispatch method should I choose?
This depends on your requirements. See the dispatch options below for guidance:
-Small packages up to 2kg by Royal Mail – Use this for small/medium packages delivered throughout the UK. (Small parcels-450x350x80mm. Medium parcels- 610x460x460mm)
-Parcels Service up to 75kg by Tuffnells Parcels (or similar service) – Use this for packaged goods delivered mainland UK and Isle of Wight. Maximum pack weight 25kg, consignments over 25kg will be of multiple packs.
-Pallets Service 76kg to 500kg by Tuffnells Pallet (or similar service) – Use this is for larger quantities of palletised goods delivered mainland UK and Isle of Wight. With this option you need the facility to handle pallets.
Can I collect my order?
No, it is not possible to collect from us as our Partners are all over the UK and will send you the material straight from their location.
Product Information and Condition
Can sheets be cut to size?
As we are a brokerage service, we cannot guarentee that all suppliers will be able to cut material to size. Use the 'Ask A Question' function underneath the Product Detail to ask them if they can. If you require a large quantity of material cutting we may be able to arrange this at an extra cost.
How do I know the condition of the product/material?
All Partners have agreed that the information they have provided is true and correct. We encourage Partners to include details of the original manufacturer and to include standard trade or international references, for example B400, R21, UL94 V0 etc. You can always use the 'Ask A Question' function underneath the product detail to ask the Partner for more information about a product.
Can I view a product data sheet?
Use our 'Ask A Question' function underneath the product detail to request one, or to ask the supplier for more information.
Could I have a colour sample / swatch of the sheet I am after?
Yes, we always suggest to our Partners that small samples should be made available
on request. However, this is at the Partners discretion. Use the "Ask a Question" function to see if a sample can be provided.
When you quote colour references (BS etc), are matches guaranteed?
If a reference is quoted, colours will be within normal commercial tolerances, but we do
suggest you check the comments on the material record. There are always variations between materials and
manufacturers, if in doubt, you can always request a sample.
Why do the prices vary for the same product?
It is possible that the same product is available from different Partners, or
that prices vary according to minimum order quantities. Simply choose the one you want.
Is there a Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?
Partners have the opportunity to create 'Packs' of their products if they wish to sell more than one at a time. However there is no MOQ from Plastic-Sheets itself- you may order as many or as few products as you like.
Can I be informed when a product comes into stock?
Use the 'Ask A Question' function underneath the product detail to enquire about stock availability if a product is listed as out of stock. Get in touch with Plastic-Sheets to enquire about any products that you cannot find on the website and we can try to source them for you.
What happens if I want more stock than is available?
Use the 'Ask A Question' function underneath the product detail to get in touch with the supplier to enquire about stock availability and when they might be able to get more stock for you.
Will my payment details be secure?
Yes, your payment details will never be divulged to any third parties. They will be used solely for
transactions between you and Plastic-sheets.
I’ve forgotten my login / password details?
You can request confirmation of these via our website. In case of difficulties,
please do not hesitate to contact us directly.
Will my details be passed to a third party?
No, your confidential details are precisely that. They will be used solely for
transactions between you and Plastic-Sheets.
I am thermoforming a hydroscopic material- will I need to pre-dry it?
You should always assume that hydroscopic materials will have absorbed moisture and therefore will require pre-drying. However, you can always use our 'Ask A Question' function below the product detail to ask our Partner the age/condition of that material.
