The colour flashes at the side of our product lines are simply there to indicate the colour group that the product belongs to and to help you to refine a search.

For example maroon, scarlet and pink would be collectively described as (shades of) red etc. It is common to refer colours to international standards, and amongst these, but not exclusively, are BS, RAL, NCS and Panatone.

There are colour charts of the most common standards available on the site, (RAL, BS 4800, BS381C, BS 5252) but do bear in mind that the settings of your screen and/or printer can affect your perception of the colour, and therefore should only be considered as a guide.

You can buy printed colour charts on our site and these can be considered definitive. Industry norms for colour variation of extruded plastic sheets are +/- one DeltaE from the standard, which in reality in on the limits of visual perception.
