Three simple steps
Tell us what you would like to offer for sale. You can do this here; simply open our
"Product Input Form" , complete the details, save and either e-mail or fax it back to
us – remember you need to let us know when a material is no longer available.
Typical of the information we need to put up on the site are;
- Details of the sheet(s) you wish to offer for sale
- How many sheets you have available
- How much you want to sell them for (see pricing guidelines below)
- Any additional comments; special features, characteristics and/or uses
(the more information you can give, the easier it will be for prospective
buyers to chose your material)
When a buyer enquires or orders your material, we will contact you to confirm that it is still
available. If you are happy to proceed, we will acknowledge the order to the buyer, then e-mail you an
advice note with the order detail. This will show what you need to pack, the payment you will receive,
and the collection reference of the order (see packaging below) – remember It is your responsibility
to ensure the sheet you are offering is in good condition.
We will collect the order and deliver it to the buyer, then pay you for the sheet.
Packaging
When you agree to our terms & conditions, you will receive simple guidelines from us on how to package
and label your materials to avoid damage in transit. You will receive rolls of packing tape bearing our
logo, for use when packing sheet. You will also receive details of our carrier service. All we ask is that
you pack the product carefully and advise us of any problems as soon as possible. Remember that it is your
responsibility to ensure that the sheet you are selling is received in good condition.
When you need more packing tape, simply ask and we will send you more, free of charge.
Collection
Our nominated national carrier service will collect the packaged sheets from you within 48 hours of us
sending you our "Advice of Sale" (similar to a purchase order). Effectively this is a next day collection,
these will normally be made between 8.30am & 5.30pm. You don’t apply your labels or delivery note to the
package, our carrier will apply labels upon collection. Using our free packing tape is sufficient for our
carrier to identify the consignment.
Payment
When you agree to our terms & conditions you will provide us with your bank details, this is so that
we can make BACS payments directly into your account. Naturally this information will be entirely
confidential, secure and will never be passed to a third party. We aim to credit your account with
payments within 5 working days of collecting orders.
Pricing
The price you ask for your material is entirely up to you and not a matter for Plastic-sheets.
However, as a guideline we would suggest that extruder prices plus a multiplier of between 1.25 and 1.75
would produce a suitable "retail" price. On the other hand, you might consider that a "sale"
price might attract a quicker sale – the choice is yours. One thing you do need to bear in mind,
is that Plastic-sheets will uplift your price when advertising your sheet on our site, this uplift
will not exceed 20%.
